A Project by the University of Rosenheim
From the beginning of October, 15th until December, 18th certain teams of students took part at an internal architecture-competition.
The students belong to different faculties like interior design, interior engineering, wood building construction, business engineering and wood technology.
From 15 initially developed concepts only five were selected by an independent jury.
These five design concepts had to be reviewed for a further two weeks.
On the 18th of December, 2008 a renewed investigation of the remaining five drafts took place by the jury, which finally chose the winner.
The remaining idea of the winner's team will now represent the college of Rosenheim on the competition of the Solar Decathlon in 2010 in Madrid.

Until then, the teams have to design and detail the planning of the building, with the newest technology equipped.
In cooperation with scientific partners and sponsors, the building will be built in Rosenheim until the spring of 2010.
Finally it will be transported in the form of precast modules to Madrid.
All universities who are involved in the competition will present their buildings in front of a wide public audience and an international jury in summer, 2010 in Madrid.
